Bill is the president and co-owner at Bateman Group, a PR and digital communications agency for the companies shaping our future with technology. He has 20+ years of experience representing technology brands at every stage — from startups to Fortune 50. Bill was the principal architect behind Bateman Group's corporate philanthropy program which commits two percent of its profits and employee time to locally focused nonprofit organizations.

Prior to joining Bateman Group, Bill was vice president of marketing for a media startup, where he led all marketing, licensing and distribution strategy around the company’s filmed entertainment properties. Before that, he managed product PR and corporate communications for some of the Internet’s pioneering brands, including AOL and Netscape, while working at A Good Seed Production, Blanc and Otus and Niehaus Ryan Wong.

Bill began his career in public health, directing a federally funded nonprofit grant for several years before being appointed to serve as a Special Assistant to San Francisco Mayor Willie L. Brown Jr. In addition to Mirabel Pictures, he serves on the Board of Directors for the San Francisco Education Fund.

Bill lives in San Francisco with his wife Kate and their sons Ben and Sebastian. He graduated from St. Lawrence University with a B.A. in political science and writing.
